For almost ten years Champaign Urbana's Beads N Botanicals shop has provided the local community with a beautiful, diverse and growing selection of crystals, beads and handmade jewelry at an incredible value. 

This show features recent acquisitions of beads, crystals, gems and jewelry, including rhodochrosite, malachite, lapis lazuli and seraphinite cabachons at a perfect size for wire-wrapping or setting in pendants or rings.

A huge variety of tumbled crystals, in small and larger sizes be used in crystal grids, medicine bags or other projects.

The show starts Friday, June 22 and runs through Saturday, July 14 (no show on Saturday, June 30) Please see the facebook page for detailed dates and times.

Per usual, more items will be added to the show as the days progress. We're already getting ready beads and crystals from a recent wholesale show. And will be bringing back and getting out even more crystals after an upcoming buying trip.

The Five Ways Series gives you information to choose what works best for you. Each workshop offers the opportunity to build your skills and knowledge base in each of the subjects covered, in a simple and playful format each Thursday evening.

Cost $15 per class, OR $50 prepaid for the series of five.

Crystal Grids 101
Placing crystals in geometric patterns can enhance and increase the energies of the crystals so that you can achieve goals more easily. 

 Depending upon why you are making the grid, the combinations can be limitless. This workshop will introduce you to how to work with crystal grids, choosing your crystals, placing them in a grid and focusing intent.

Blue Chalcedony's Crystal Healing Properties

Chalcedony absorbs negativity and promote harmonious emotions. Blue Chalcedony is often used during public speaking, which is not a surprise to me as blue crystals are usually associated with the Throat Chakra. 

Some say Blue Chalcedony aids telepathic communication, as well as assists in spirit communication with other realms, especially the Angelic Realm. This class will provide you with the basic tools to keep your energetic body running smoothly. Handouts & Chakra Stone Kit included in the cost of this workshop. Swarovski™ Crystal Butterflies Fly into Central Illinois' Beads N Botanicals Shop

Calling all beaders in Central Illinois!

We are still sorting through the new bead shipment that arrived last week here at Beads N Botanicals in Urbana, IL.

As promised, I did get the new Swarovski™ crystals out in the front case. We’ve brought in more 8mm bicones (as well as an assortment of other sizes), some rounds and rondelles, as well as some new colors.

Highlights include Swarovski™ Crystal Butterflies in all their available sizes: 5mm, 6mm, 8mm and 10mm. Bright, shimmery butterflies to adorn earrings, bracelets and necklaces. By the way, the latest fashion trends are featuring butterfly accents in clothing, furniture, and jewelry designs.

If you have never seen the Swarovski™ Crystal Cantaloupe beads, you need to stop by and check them out. We ordered a small selection of bicone, cube and round crystal beads in this color. With Cantaloupe beads, you get three colors in one. In one type of light, the crystals appear a light green. In another type of light, the beads appear clear to pale grey in color. Shift your lighting once more, and the crystals have a peachy cantaloupe color. Not only are these colors among the fashion colors for the upcoming Spring/Summer 2009 fashion season, they are also hot colors for the Fall/Winter 2009 fashion scene. Never mind that they are just a neat crystal to work with.

As always here at the Beads N Botanicals shop, you can select as few as one Swarovski™ Crystal bead for a project or a 100 Swarovski™ crystals. The choice is yours.
