Medicinal Herbalist Catherine Novak (and owner of Beads N Botanicals) teaches this course. Catherine has been growing organic gardens, wildcrafting and working with herbs medicinally for more than 30 years.

Through this class, you will learn how to use herbs safely and responsibly; methods of preparing herbs; suggested herbs to keep on hand for everyday use; how to make herbal oil infusions and salves; and how to use wild edibles as food and medicine.

Four Weeks on Tuesdays, from 10am to 12pm.

Unlock Your Inner Healing Potential with Reiki

Have you ever wondered how to unlock your inner healing potential? Many people have started their healing journey by studying Reiki. Whether you are looking for self-healing, and/or to assist others, Reiki is a gentle, loving way to learn and grow. 

If you live in the Central Illinois area, you may want to join Reiki circles and Reiki Classes at Beads N Botanicals in Urbana, IL, home of the University of Illinois at Champaign Urbana. 


Reiki I — In this class, you will learn what Reiki is, the history of Reiki and how Reiki works. Developed in Japan and administered by the laying on of hands, Reiki is a method of stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is based on the idea that all living things have a special life force energy flowing through them.

This class combines lecture, discussion and practical experience. You will learn the basic hand positions for giving a complete treatment to yourself and others; receive the Reiki I Attunement. Certificate of completion and manual are included. Reiki Master Catherine will be teaching. Cost: $150. (A $50 deposit will hold your spot in class. Payment is due in full by May 25)

Pre-payment and pre-registration required. No more than six new students per class. Walk-ins will NOT be accepted for this class. Students must talk with the instructor before signing up. Also, attending at least one Reiki circle before the class is highly recommended.
