FEATURED ARTIST: Wynter Harrington Peguero
Sculptor, Painter: Masks, sculptures, dragons
Freelance Professional Photographer
Now living in St. Joseph, IL, born & raised in Phoenix, AZ, Wynter moved to the midwest in 1999 and began taking classes within a few years at Danville Community College, where her sculptures immediately began taking 1st prize honors. Her passion for art and keen eye have also led her into the realm of professional photography, where babies/children and outdoor shoots have become a specialty. With a rich tapestry of Irish and Cherokee Indian heritage, her subject matter and creations are varied and creative, making them excellent collection and decorating pieces for home décor or for gifts.
To truly appreciate her sculptures, you need to view them in person. For the Boneyard Arts Festival, her work will be on display Friday, April 12, 11am to 6pm; Saturday, April 13, 10am to 5pm (Meet the Artist from 3 to 4pm (or later); and Sunday, April 14th. Her works are available for purchase, with pickup AFTER the festival.
The Trikhala Bellydance Troupe, made up of University of Illinois undergraduate and graduate students, will perform their style of tribal fusion dance-- a mixture of American tribal-style bellydance, traditional ethnic bellydance and contemporary dance styles such as hip-hop. Come watch them dance and dance with them.
